I'm AJ — a writer, photographer, and zine-maker based in Seattle, Washington, USA.

My work focuses on outdoor adventures, internal tumult, and equitable human rights.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Creative Writing, as well as an Associate of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education. Both were earned at St. Cloud State University in my beautiful home state of Minnesota, USA.

Since graduating university in 2008, I have lived in Washington State, California, and Arizona, and traveled to 28 different countries to date. I am humbled by and grateful to all who promote values of environmentalism and lovingkindness, such as water is life, and no human is illegal.
